Position Overview & Role Purpose:
The Emirates Group Engineering careers portal serves as the centralized recruitment hub for technical talent across the airline’s massive global network.
Openings regularly span across three core pillars: Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAEs), Aircraft Technicians, and Engineering Support Roles. Professionals joining this division contribute to maintaining, servicing, and certifying one of the youngest and most advanced wide-body fleets in the world (including Airbus A380s, A350s, and Boeing 777s).
About the Organization (Emirates Engineering):
Operating primarily from the state-of-the-art Emirates Engineering Centre in Dubai, the organization sets global benchmarks in aviation maintenance, heavy base checks, component overhaul, and engine testing.
Core Functional Categories Available on the Portal:
1. Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAEs):
– Responsible for certifying line maintenance checks, base maintenance overhauls, and specialized workshop repairs (avionics, structures, engines, and cabin maintenance).
– Requires valid regulatory licenses (GCAA, EASA Part-66 B1/B2) with relevant wide-body type ratings.
2. Aircraft Technicians & Mechanics:
– Execute hands-on aircraft maintenance, component removal/installation, and structural upkeep under the supervision of LAEs.
– Requires approved apprenticeship certificates or vocational trade diplomas in aircraft maintenance coupled with commercial aviation experience.
3. Engineering Support Roles & Technical Services:
– Encompasses specialized departments including Maintenance Planning, Technical Services, Production Planning, Component Management, Materials/Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Training.
Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:
– Varies by specific role, ranging from 2 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in commercial aviation, MRO environments, or technical support functions.
– Strong commitment to safety protocols, quality standards, and technical precision.
– Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
