Google for Education Lead

Position Overview & Role Purpose: Are you a transformative technology leader with a passion for driving digital transformation across educational ecosystems in the Middle East and Africa? Google is seeking a high-performing Google for Education Lead to spearhead its education strategy, institutional adoption, and strategic government partnerships from its regional hub in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.   In this executive-level regional leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the multi-year vision for Google for Education across K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and Ministries of Education in the region. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning sales, partner management, marketing, and professional development to accelerate the adoption of ChromeOS, Google Workspace for Education, and Google’s cutting-edge educational AI solutions.   About Google & Google for Education: Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Education Strategy, Regional Vision & Go-to-Market Execution: – Formulate and lead the overarching Google for Education go-to-market strategy across target countries in the region. – Build, manage, and deliver regional revenue and usage growth targets for Google Workspace for Education, Chromebooks, and education AI features. – Build executive-level advisory relationships with Education Ministers, government officials, university chancellors, and large private school group executives. – Direct regional marketing campaigns, thought leadership summits, and large-scale digital learning initiatives in collaboration with local educational authorities.   2. Ecosystem Scale, Channel Development & Cross-Functional Alignment: – Manage regional business development efforts and oversee the network of EdTech partners, resellers, system integrators, and professional development providers. – Collaborate closely with internal Google Cloud sales teams, ChromeOS product specialists, public policy experts, and legal counsel to align strategy. – Advocate for regional market requirements with global Google for Education product engineering and executive teams to shape future product roadmaps.   3. Team Mentorship, Industry Representation & Impact Tracking: – Lead and inspire cross-functional team members, driving high performance, innovation, and an inclusive team culture. – Serve as the primary regional spokesperson for Google for Education at major industry conferences, government summits, and media forums. – Establish framework metrics to evaluate educational impact, student outcomes, and institutional success across deployed programs.   Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:   – Academic & Leadership Credentials: * Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred. – Professional Experience & Domain Expertise: * Minimum 10 to 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology sales, strategic business development, or EdTech leadership in the GCC/MENA region. * Proven track record of managing large-scale regional teams, closing complex enterprise/government software agreements, and building channel partner ecosystems. * Deep knowledge of regional education systems, government procurement frameworks, and modern educational technology trends (SaaS, AI, cloud devices). – Language Capabilities & Soft Skills: * Exceptional executive presentation, strategic negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. * Professional fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; fluency in Arabic is highly desirable.   Compensation & Benefits Package: – Executive compensation package including competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and Google Stock Units (GSUs). – Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees and eligible dependents. – Generous annual leave allowance, wellness allowances, and comprehensive family support benefits. – World-class office facilities in Dubai featuring complimentary gourmet meals, micro-kitchens, and state-of-the-art workspaces. – Unmatched international career progression, executive leadership programs, and continuous learning opportunities.
