Comprehensive Position Overview & Organizational Purpose:
A leading retail and distribution group in Oman is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage financial reporting and analysis, and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to support the company’s strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties:
– Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepares and reviews financial summaries, reports, variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management.
– Compliance & Auditing: Coordinates with external auditors for audit plans, ensures adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal accounting controls.
– Budgeting & Cash Flow: Manages financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow operations to maintain optimal fiscal health.
– Team Leadership: Leads and develops the finance and accounting team to ensure precision and data-driven insights across operations.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
– Educational Background: Professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA) or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
– Professional Experience: Extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and statutory compliance, preferably within retail, FMCG, or distribution sectors in the GCC.
– Core Skills: Strong proficiency in financial software, advanced analytical capabilities, excellent leadership, and strategic planning skills.
