Comprehensive Position Overview & Organizational Purpose:
A leading retail group in the UAE is seeking a dedicated Counter Service Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service, manage counter displays, prepare portions to customer specifications, and ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties:
– Sales & Targets: Achieves assigned section sales targets and drives retail counter performance.
– Customer Service & Preparation: Prepares and serves standard-sized portions and cuts in accordance with customer requirements; provides direct and indirect customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
– Stock & Inventory Control: Monitors stock levels, assists in ordering, receiving, and controlling wastage and shrinkage within the section.
– Hygiene & Maintenance: Ensures full compliance with all hygiene, food safety, and sanitation requirements, and maintains the proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
– Educational Background: High school certificate (HSC) or relevant vocational certification.
– Professional Experience: Prior experience in food retail, supermarket counters, or the F&B sector is preferred.
– Core Skills: Excellent customer service and communication abilities, attention to detail, basic math skills for handling transactions, and physical stamina for standing and managing counter tasks.
