**About this vacancy**
This is a full-time security supervisor post for the retail business unit. Public notices place it at Harvey Nichols Dubai. You implement the security plan, cut shrinkage, and keep premises, product and people protected. You work with store management, distribution, HR and, when needed, police. You own CCTV, EAS and alarm follow-up, not only guard rostering.
**Day-to-day work**
A typical week mixes floor presence, system checks and case work. You walk the store and stock areas. You check that officers follow retail security procedure. You review incident reports from stores or distribution. You test or escalate faults on CCTV, electronic article surveillance and intruder alarms. When a policy breach is alleged, you run a clean investigation: facts, written interview, witness notes, then a recommendation that matches company and HR rules. When a shoplifting case goes to the police, you brief the store on process and support the file. Peak periods (evenings, weekends, sale days) need extra cover and calmer judgement, not louder process.
**Key responsibilities**
Plan and run security operations for the assigned unit.
Cut shrinkage and known on-site risks.
Apply retail operational policies and procedures.
Respond to security incident reports from stores and distribution.
Oversee CCTV, EAS and intruder-alarm follow-up.
Investigate alleged operational-policy breaches.
Conduct professional written interviews and take witness statements.
Advise stores on shoplifter handling and support police cases.
Recommend next steps in line with company DOT and HR process.
Keep the security team briefed and the floor ready.
**Who this role is for**
A retail security supervisor from a department store, luxury mall or multi-brand site. Comfortable with systems and with people. Able to write a clear incident file. Not a first-week guard role.
**Requirements**
Graduate in any discipline (as on public notices).
Three to four years’ security experience, with recent years in a responsible security-management post.
Calm under pressure. Clear English. Arabic useful.
