NASS Group & Corporation
NASS Group & Corporation is looking for an experienced Senior QAQC Engineer in Riffa, Southern Governorate, Bahrain. Official Workable vacancy DED7DF72FE. Full-time, mid-senior construction quality role. Apply only on apply.workable.com/nass. NASS will not ask you to pay for a job.
**About NASS Group**
NASS Group & Corporation is a Bahrain-based contracting and industrial group. Nass Contracting delivers civil, building and infrastructure work on major sites. Quality on those sites is checked against drawings, specifications, client procedures and company QA/QC rules. This senior engineer sits between the Project Manager, the Site QA/QC Manager, consultants, the client, subcontractors, suppliers and testing labs. The job is mostly on site, not a head-office desk role.
**About this vacancy**
You oversee quality-control on the assigned project. You guide material use, testing, inspections and records so the works match the specification, industry standards and NASS procedures. You can stop non-conforming work. You keep the test-equipment register. You update as-built drawings monthly. You brief crews before they start an approved method statement. You supervise site engineers, QA/QC inspectors and document controllers on quality and files. You support the QA/QC Manager and project management with reports and extra quality tasks.
**Day-to-day work**
A typical week mixes inspections, paper and meetings. You review inspection, testing and trial procedures so the method is right and the result is recorded correctly. You read lab and field data, spot gaps, and talk to the consultant or client when the result affects performance. You send clear test results to the project team and escalate bad or non-conforming results to the Project Manager the same day. If work is off procedure or off spec, you stop it. You raise NCRs, liability-exemption forms, inspection records, test reports and close-out files. You check that gauges and diagnostic tools are used, stored, calibrated and logged. You sit with procurement, site teams, subcontractors and labs so sampling and hold points are not missed. You use basic statistical quality methods and write short performance notes. Each month you chase as-built updates with subcontractors. Before a new activity you run a short quality briefing on the approved method statement. You decide day-to-day quality calls and coach inspectors. GCC site hours and heat are normal. Temporary-works knowledge helps when the project uses it.
**Key responsibilities**
Review inspection, testing and trial procedures and record results correctly.
Analyse quality and technical data. Raise discrepancies with consultants and the client.
Communicate test results. Escalate non-conforming results to the Project Manager.
Stop work that fails approved procedures, specifications or industry standards.
Prepare NCRs, exemption forms, inspection records, test reports and close-out documents.
Control use, storage and calibration of testing equipment. Keep the equipment register.
Coordinate QA/QC with the Site QA/QC Manager, procurement, site teams, consultants, client, subcontractors, suppliers and labs.
Monitor quality with statistical methods and recommend improvements.
Update as-built drawings monthly and chase subcontractor records.
Give pre-job quality briefings on approved method statements.
Guide Site Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors and Document Controllers.
Keep quality work and files aligned with the contract, company standards and regulations.
Support the QA/QC Manager and Project Manager on quality reports and assigned tasks.
**Who this role is for**
A civil QA/QC engineer who has already run inspections on large building, road, bridge or infrastructure jobs. Comfortable stopping bad work and explaining why to the client and the site team. Not a first inspector post. Not a software QA job.
**Requirements**
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum seven years’ QA/QC in construction, preferably major civil projects.
GCC experience preferred.
Eligible for CRPEP registration in Bahrain.
Strong QA/QC procedures, inspection and testing, construction standards and specifications.

Able to work independently, take daily quality decisions and supervise QA/QC staff.
