Medical Laboratory Technologist

Mediclinic is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist – Level 1 at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

Perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Monitor sample management, including sorting and allocation. Process clinical chemistry, immunology and serology, autoimmune, haematology, coagulation, blood transfusion and clinical microscopy tests. Analyse body fluids, blood specimens, urine and spinal fluid. Verify accuracy of results. Contribute to quality improvement, training and health and safety initiatives. Operate, calibrate and monitor laboratory equipment including analysers. Maintain temperature logs.

𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬

Correct maintenance of instrumentation. Developing standard operating procedures. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office). Knowledge of real-time multiplex PCR and closed molecular systems. Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing for quality control and troubleshooting. Laboratory information systems and reporting.

𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences or a related field. At least 3–5 years full-time experience as a medical laboratory technologist in clinical chemistry.
