Comprehensive Position Overview & Role Purpose:
GMG is seeking a customer-focused Sales Assistant for its Sports Retail division to manage products and services, maximize sales opportunities, and deliver an exceptional shopping experience to customers.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Duties:
– Describe product features, benefits, and proper handling while educating clients on brand quality standards and specifications.
– Advise customers on suitable product ranges, answer queries, and guide purchase decisions.
– Provide product information covering warranties, specifications, and maintenance.
– Drive sales targets utilizing effective sales techniques, up-selling, and cross-selling.
– Handle billing, operate cash registers accurately, process payments, and maintain sales records.
– Adhere to loss prevention guidelines, inventory controls, and store operating procedures.
– Maintain high standards of store merchandising, housekeeping, and grooming etiquette.
Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:
– Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
– Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant retail or sales experience.
– Core Skills: Strong product knowledge, interpersonal skills, and a dedicated customer service orientation.
