Position Overview & Role Purpose:
Are you an experienced welding professional looking to build a career in the marine and offshore industry? Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) is seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join its advanced workshop and building facility in Abu Dhabi, .
In this critical production role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality structural welding tasks, working with heavy marine and oil & gas fabrication projects, and maintaining strict safety and technical standards.
About the Organization (Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory):
Established in 2009 in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, ASMEF features one of the largest facilities of its kind in the UAE, comprising a 280,000 m2 yard and a 545m waterfront[span_4](start_span)[span_4](end_span). Strategically located close to the Abu Dhabi Oil Fields with excellent access to onshore and offshore fields, ASMEF delivers world-class marine engineering, repair, and building services.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Duties:
– Execute structural welding tasks (such as FCAW, SMAW, or related processes) on heavy steel structures, marine vessels, and oil & gas equipment.
– Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to meet precise project specifications.
– Ensure all welded joints meet high-quality non-destructive testing (NDT) and visual inspection standards.
– Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:
– Academic & Vocational Credentials: High School Graduate with recognized professional welding certifications.
– Professional Experience: Proven hands-on experience in structural welding within marine engineering, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial fabrication yards.
– Skills & Technical Abilities: Strong proficiency in welding techniques, meticulous attention to detail, and a firm commitment to workplace safety regulations.
