Accountant

Position Overview & Role Purpose:

Key Responsibilities & Accounting Duties:

– Ensure all accounting transactions are completed accurately, effectively, and efficiently.

– Review financial statements and accounting records to ensure accuracy and accountability.

– Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in line with management requirements and audit standards.

– Regularly review accounting books, ledgers, statements, and financial systems to ensure records remain accurate and up to date.

– Prepare and provide timely accounting and financial reports as required by management.

– Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activities to support a healthy cash flow cycle.

– Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve long-outstanding items.

– Support internal and external audit activities by providing required financial records and documentation.

– Ensure accounting activities comply with established policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.

Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:

– Academic & Professional Credentials:

  * University Degree in Accounting.

  * Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA is preferred.

– Professional Experience:

  * Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

– Skills & Technical Abilities:

  * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  * Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent software.

  * Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
