ACCOUNTANT

Comprehensive Position Overview & Organizational Purpose:

alfanar is seeking a dedicated and qualified General Accountant to join its finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position involves managing daily bookkeeping, monitoring accounting transactions, supervising accounts payable and receivable, managing asset accounting, and ensuring full compliance with IFRS standards and local regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities & Core Duties:

– Accounts Payable (A/P): Supervise supplier invoice processing, ensure 3-way matching accuracy, verify tax and policy compliance, oversee timely vendor payments, monitor accruals and prepayments, and reconcile vendor statements.

– Accounts Receivable (A/R): Oversee customer invoicing, evaluate creditworthiness, manage receivables to minimize bad debt, execute collection procedures, and reconcile customer accounts with aging report analysis.

– Asset Accounting: Manage fixed assets including acquisitions, depreciation, disposal, periodic asset verification, and compliance regulations.

– General Ledger (G/L): Oversee general ledger operations, ensure accurate transaction recording, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.

– Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial statements per IFRS, assist with external audits, support budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and improve accounting processes for efficiency.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

– Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance is strictly required.

– Professional Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven work experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or corporate finance.

– Technical & Functional Competencies: Strong command of accounting methods, accounting principles, and accounting systems. Familiarity with financial regulations, tax compliance, and IFRS standards.

– Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving abilities, adherence to quality control, process improvement orientation, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
