Position Overview & Role Purpose:
Are you a meticulous and trustworthy finance professional with a strong background in payroll administration and cash handling? Hyde Hotel Dubai (part of Accor and Ennismore) is seeking a dedicated Paymaster and General Cashier to join its dynamic finance team in Dubai, UAE.
In this vital financial role, you will be responsible for managing daily hotel cash operations, petty cash funds, and foreign exchange controls, alongside overseeing the accurate processing of monthly payroll and employee compensation records in full compliance with corporate standards and UAE labor laws.

Key Responsibilities & Financial Duties:
1. General Cashier Operations:
– Manage daily cash drops, hotel safe custody, float disbursements, and petty cash reconciliations accurately.
– Conduct surprise cash counts for various outlets, bars, and cashier points across the property to ensure strict internal control compliance.
– Handle foreign currency exchanges, bank deposits, and credit card reconciliations.
2. Paymaster & Payroll Administration:
– Coordinate full-cycle monthly payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, service charges, allowances, and deductions.
– Verify attendance records, leave balances, and timesheets in close cooperation with the Human Resources department.
– Prepare payroll registers, bank transfer letters, and related financial reports for executive management review.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
– Maintain orderly, transparent documentation for all cash and payroll transactions to support internal and external audits.
– Ensure strict compliance with Accor/Ennismore financial policies, internal controls, and UAE labor regulations.
Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:
– Academic Credentials:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related business field.
– Professional Experience:
* Minimum 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, with at least 1 to 2 years specializing in general cashiering, paymaster duties, or payroll administration within a hotel or hospitality environment.
– Skills & Personal Attributes:
* Exceptional numerical accuracy, high integrity, and unwavering attention to detail.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and corporate hotel accounting/ERP software systems (such as SUN Systems or Opera).
* Professional fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language proficiency is a strong advantage.
