Comprehensive Position Overview & Organizational Purpose:
A leading retail and distribution group in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a reliable Driver to manage route schedules, deliver merchandise securely and efficiently, and oversee delivery coordination with helpers and storekeepers.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties:
– Route Planning & Delivery: Obtains trip sheets from the storekeeper, prioritizes route schedules, ensures on-time deliveries, and optimizes routes for cost-effectiveness without missing schedules.
– Vehicle Maintenance & Support: Performs regular checkups for vehicle performance and maintenance requirements, and assists with loading, unloading, and coordinating tasks with helpers.
– Payments & Compliance: Maintains high accuracy handling documents and cash deliveries, collects customer payments for prompt deposit, and strictly adheres to traffic rules and safety guidelines.
– Issue Reporting: Immediately reports any issues related to the receiving or delivery of goods to the delivery coordinator or in-charge.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
– Educational Background: High school graduate with basic office skills.
– Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a delivery driver in distribution and trading companies.
– Licensing & Knowledge: Valid UAE driving license (Category between 3 and 6), strong knowledge of UAE roadways, GPS navigation, and good communication skills in Hindi and English.
