Position Overview & Role Purpose:
Oversee revenue controls, investigate discrepancies, monitor settlements, and work collaboratively across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Technology teams to prevent revenue leakage and improve transaction reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Operational Duties:
– Revenue Assurance & Controls: Monitor revenue streams, establish documented controls, reconciliation procedures, and escalation processes.
– Reconciliations & Settlements: Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrectly recorded transactions, investigate root causes, and coordinate corrective actions. Review refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks while validating organizer and partner settlement calculations against contractual terms.
– Revenue Accounting & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on revenue discrepancies, outstanding settlements, payment processing fees, and amounts recovered. Highlight unusual trends to the Finance Director and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
– Systems & Process Improvement: Review new payment channels, products, and commercial arrangements before launch to ensure appropriate revenue controls are active.
Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:
– Experience: Practical experience in revenue accounting, payment settlements, accounts receivable, and month-end closing, backed by a strong understanding of internal controls and reconciliation processes. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are an advantage.
– Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, experience working with ERP systems, and familiarity with tools like Odoo, Power BI, or automated reconciliation platforms.
– Core Skills: Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and clear communication skills.
