Assistant / Associate / Full Professor – Medical Radiography

About the Role:

The College of Health Sciences at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is seeking qualified academic faculty members at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Medical Radiography. The successful candidates will lead student-centered clinical instruction, oversee modern diagnostic imaging laboratories, drive curriculum development in medical imaging technologies, and engage in applied health research in alignment with Qatar’s national healthcare priorities.

Key Responsibilities & Core Functions:

1. Instructional Delivery & Lab Management:

– Teach undergraduate courses across Medical Radiography, Diagnostic Imaging, Radiation Protection, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Radiographic Anatomy.

– Conduct practical training in state-of-the-art medical imaging laboratories and high-fidelity simulation environments.

– Integrate modern educational technology and online learning platforms into course delivery.

– Provide student mentorship, clinical supervision, capstone project oversight, and continuous academic advising.

2. Curriculum Enhancement & Clinical Coordination:

– Participate in the design, review, and accreditation of Medical Radiography program curricula in accordance with international healthcare education standards.

– Liaise with clinical partners across Qatar (e.g., Hamad Medical Corporation) to coordinate clinical placements, student rotations, and competency assessments.

– Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety, laboratory protocols, and institutional quality assurance guidelines.

3. Applied Research & Scholarly Activity:

– Conduct applied research in diagnostic radiography, radiation safety, advanced imaging modalities, or healthcare education.

– Publish research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals, present at international conferences, and apply for research grants.

– Guide undergraduate students in evidence-based clinical practice and research projects.

4. Institutional & Community Engagement:

– Participate in college and university-level governance committees.

– Support community outreach, public health initiatives, and professional development workshops within the medical imaging domain.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

– Academic Credentials:

  * An earned Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Medical Radiography, Medical Imaging, Diagnostic Imaging, Radiation Sciences, or a closely related discipline from an accredited, internationally recognized university.

  * Professional credentialing or national registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer / Radiological Technologist is required.

– Teaching & Clinical Experience:

  * Assistant Professor: Minimum 3 years of post-secondary university teaching experience alongside demonstrated clinical practice in diagnostic radiography.

  * Associate / Full Professor: 5 to 10+ years of progressive academic experience, administrative leadership, a strong record of peer-reviewed publications, and successful research grant activity.

  * Clinical expertise across modern imaging modalities (Digital Radiography, CT, MRI, PACS/RIS environments).

– Key Skills:

  * Full professional fluency in spoken and written English (the primary language of instruction).
