Sidra Medicine is seeking a Therapist III – Respiratory possessing expert knowledge in Pediatric and/or Neonatal cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology. The role involves providing advanced therapeutic, interventional, diagnostic, and emergency cardiorespiratory care using medical devices and specialized techniques. Additionally, the candidate will deliver unit-based leadership, act as a Preceptor/Mentor for staff and students, and take on the Charge Respiratory Therapist role when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver basic to advanced airway management, medical gas therapies, and mechanical ventilation monitoring for technology-dependent patients.
Conduct patient health evaluations, review medical histories, and administer therapeutic and diagnostic interventions.
Serve as a member of the Resuscitation, Rapid Response, and Transport Teams in emergency scenarios.
Provide unit-based specialty leadership and assume the role of Charge Respiratory Therapist in the absence of the Supervisor.
Act as a Preceptor/Mentor, teaching and supervising new staff, students, and junior personnel.
Operate and perform quality control testing on respiratory and laboratory equipment.
Support departmental quality assurance, utilization reviews, and continuous policy development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: 3-year Diploma in Respiratory Therapy or 2+ years Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of recent clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy, including at least 3+ years in a Neonatal/Pediatric tertiary care facility.
Licensure: Valid license/registration in home country and eligible for licensure with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP).
Certifications: Active Life Support Training credentials (e.g., BLS, AED) as required by MoPH and Sidra.
Skills: Strong critical analysis, autonomous problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and fluency in spoken and written English.
