Al Tayer Insignia is looking for an experienced Business Systems Manager – Data Platform Engineering – 1 year contract in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role supports and improves Retail Business Analytics capabilities that optimise planning, buying and merchandising functions for omni-channel retail operations. It requires both functional and technical expertise to maintain and continuously enhance critical Business Intelligence applications such as Redshift, Databricks and generative/agentic AI tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide functional and technical support for Business Intelligence technologies focused on planning, buying and merchandising.
Ensure effective support for core retail applications (SAP), covering master data management, items, locations, pricing, costing, purchase orders, allocations, transfers, inventory, replenishment, price management and markdown management.
Lead requirement analysis and solution design for new projects and enhancements, working with business users to complete Business Requirement Documents.
Collaborate with system integration partners, review technical solutions, and guide teams through all project phases so that work stays aligned with strategic goals.
Apply technical proficiency in AWS Redshift, Databricks, SAP and modern Business Intelligence capabilities including generative and agentic AI.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong experience supporting planning, buying and merchandising functions in an omni-channel retail environment.
Technical expertise in AWS Redshift, Databricks, SAP and modern BI / AI tools.
Proven ability to lead requirement gathering, solution design and project delivery with system integration partners.
