Director of Finance

Position Overview & Role Purpose:

Are you an accomplished finance executive looking to lead financial operations for a premier luxury resort? Rixos Murjana (an Accor property) is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join its executive leadership team in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Saudi Arabia.

In this critical executive role, you will take total accountability for the property’s financial performance, strategic budgeting, internal controls, cash flow management, revenue optimization, statutory compliance, and finance team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities & Financial Leadership Duties:

1. Financial Strategy & Budgeting:

– Lead the annual budgeting, strategic forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes in alignment with ownership and Accor corporate guidelines.

– Monitor financial performance against targets, analyze variance trends, and recommend proactive commercial solutions to maximize profitability and asset value.

2. Financial Control, Auditing & Governance:

– Establish, maintain, and enforce robust internal financial controls, policies, and procedures across all departments.

– Oversee full-cycle accounting, general ledger integrity, payroll governance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations.

– Ensure strict compliance with Saudi Arabian tax regulations (VAT, Zakat where applicable), statutory filings, and local labor laws.

3. Executive Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

– Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and executive committee, providing data-driven financial insights.

– Manage relationships with hotel owners, auditors, banks, legal counsel, and corporate finance teams.

– Lead, mentor, and develop the property’s finance and accounting team to cultivate a high-performance work culture.

Qualifications, Required Experience & Core Competencies:

– Academic Credentials:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

– Professional Experience:

* Minimum 8 to 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 to 5 years holding a Director of Finance or Financial Controller role within a 5-star luxury hotel or international resort environment.

– Skills & Personal Attributes:

* Comprehensive mastery of hospitality financial systems (such as SUN Systems, Opera, and Vision).

* Exceptional strategic planning, commercial acumen, negotiation, and executive communication abilities.

* Professional fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language proficiency is a strong advantage.
