About the role
The sonographer prepares patients, performs ultrasound examinations, captures diagnostic images and maintains equipment and records to professional standards. It is a good fit for licensed imaging professionals who already work in hospital or clinic ultrasound.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to the required clinical standard.
Prepare patients, explain the procedure and keep them comfortable during the scan.
Capture, label and store images according to department protocol.
Work with radiologists and referring doctors on image quality and follow-up needs.
Follow radiation-safety-equivalent imaging safety, infection-control and privacy rules.
Keep ultrasound equipment and rooms ready for use.
Document studies accurately in the hospital system.
Who this role is suitable for
This role suits a female sonographer who holds a recognised UAE or equivalent imaging licence and can work independently in a hospital ultrasound department.
Qualifications & Requirements
Female candidate.
Minimum 3 years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Medical Imaging, with a minimum three-year course duration.
Licence: DOH, DHA, MOH or HCPC.
