Comprehensive Position Overview & Organizational Purpose:
Choithrams is seeking a dedicated Helper to join their logistics and store operations team in Dubai, UAE. The role involves managing warehouse shipments, assisting in loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and ensuring smooth delivery schedules while maintaining high standards of work ethics and safety.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties:
– Workload Management: Obtains workload from the storekeeper and prioritizes shipments according to the delivery schedule.
– Loading & Stocking: Arranges goods according to packing requirements, assists in loading and unloading trucks, and moves received goods to storage areas.
– Warehouse Operations: Operates jacks and pallet scooters to place stock on shelves and racks while adhering to SKU and batch-keeping policies.
– Delivery & Collections: Assists in delivering goods following trip sheets and time schedules, handles return stocks with proper checking and packing, and collects payments for cash deliveries to deposit promptly.
– Safety & Cleanliness: Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallets, and working areas neat and organized.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
– Educational Background: High school graduate with basic office skills.
– Professional Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred; experience in warehouse activities is an added advantage.
– Core Skills: Good communication skills and ability to operate material handling equipment.
