50-bed Medicare-certified post-acute / skilled-nursing and rehab unit, South Tower, 800 W Randol Mill Rd, Arlington, TX 76012. Short-stay rehab after hospital so patients can go home.
**About this vacancy**
COTA under an Occupational Therapist. You deliver assigned OT, document, educate family and help with discharge planning. Work follows PureHealth policy, Texas licensing rules and AOTA standards. Post-acute floor: walking the unit, contact with infectious patients, standing and lifting over 60 lb. No-smoking site. HIPAA applies.
**Day-to-day work**
Treat to the OT plan. Help with assessment only as the OT directs. Write daily charges, progress notes and other reports on time. Adjust treatment when the patient changes. Teach the patient and family at their level. Update the team on discharge and provider notes. Keep productivity and tell the supervisor if the caseload slips. Join quality and programme discussions when asked.
**Key responsibilities**
Deliver OT as assigned under the Occupational Therapist.
Keep documentation complete, timely and to department standard.
Monitor treatment benefit and modify with OT direction.
Educate patients and families.
Coordinate with nursing, therapy and discharge planning.
Maintain unit clinical competencies each year.
Comply with Texas Board and corporate compliance rules.

**Requirements**
Graduate of an accredited COTA programme.
Minimum one year COTA experience.
Valid Texas (state-appropriate) COTA licence.
English for clinical work.
Computer / Microsoft skills.
Able to meet physical demands of post-acute rehab.
