50-bed Medicare-certified post-acute / skilled-nursing and rehab unit in the South Tower, 800 W Randol Mill Rd, 6th Floor, Arlington, TX 76012. Short-stay rehab after hospital: physical, cardiac, neuro and orthopedic recovery so patients can return home.
**About this vacancy**
Licensed PT. You evaluate and treat with limited supervision, use advanced clinical reasoning, and supervise PTAs within Texas Board and APTA scope. You may work inpatient and outpatient settings on this campus. The unit is a walking, hands-on post-acute floor. Patients may be infectious. Lifting over 60 lb, standing, bending and stooping are part of the shift. No-smoking site. HIPAA applies.
**Day-to-day work**
Evaluate impairments and function. Write the PT plan, treat, train family and plan discharge. Recommend and train on devices. Document assessments, plans, progress, discharges and charges on time. Keep caseload and productivity. Join interdisciplinary rounds. Flag equipment needs. Teach students or less experienced PTs when assigned.
**Key responsibilities**
Evaluate, treat and progress patients to professional and department standards.
Set diagnosis, prognosis, plan and frequency of PT.
Modify treatment as the patient changes.
Supervise PTAs as allowed by Texas licence rules.
Complete timely, accurate clinical and billing documentation.
Discharge with equipment and family training and tell the Recovery Care Coordinator.
Work with nursing, physicians and therapy on the care plan.

**Requirements**
Graduate of an accredited PT programme.
Valid Texas (state-appropriate) PT licence.
About 1 year experience as listed on the card.
Master’s as listed on the card.
English for clinical work.
Computer / Microsoft skills and ability to learn facility systems.
Able to meet physical demands of post-acute rehab.
