Aster DM Healthcare runs Dr. Moopen’s Aster Hospital and Aster Medical Centre sites in Qatar. Aster Medical Centre Plus – Al Muntazah is an outpatient / day-care centre in Doha. This post sits in Nursing Services at that centre. You work under the Head Nurse / Nursing Administration and support doctors across booked clinics.
**About this vacancy**
Senior staff nurse on a clinic roster. You assess patients, give nursing care within your privileges, assist procedures, keep records, follow infection control and act as a senior point of contact for junior nurses and healthcare assistants. Shift work including evenings and weekends is common in GCC clinics. A valid Qatar DHP / QCHP nurse licence (or clear eligibility) is normally required — confirm on Job 35995.
**Day-to-day work**
A typical clinic day starts with handover and room readiness. You receive patients, take vitals, prepare for consultation, assist the doctor, give injections or dressings you are privileged for, explain after-care, and document in the system. You watch infection control and waste rules. You support juniors and escalate deteriorating patients. Peak hours follow the appointment book. English is used with the clinical team. Arabic helps with patients.
**Key responsibilities**
Deliver nursing care to clinic standards and DHP scope.
Receive and prepare patients for consultation and procedures.
Assist physicians within privileges.
Maintain accurate nursing and medication records.
Practise infection control and safe waste handling.
Support and guide junior nursing staff on shift.
Communicate clearly with doctors, nurses, patients and families.
Escalate clinical concerns to the Head Nurse.
Follow Aster policies and Qatar regulator rules.
**Who this role is for**
A licensed nurse who has already worked as a staff nurse or senior staff nurse in a hospital or large medical centre, preferably in Qatar or the GCC. Not a newly qualified first-post unless the card says so.
**Requirements**
Recognised nursing diploma or bachelor’s degree.
Valid Qatar DHP / QCHP Registered Nurse licence or eligibility — confirm on the live card.
Senior staff nurse or equivalent clinic / hospital experience preferred.
Infection control, documentation and patient-communication skills.
English for clinical work. Arabic useful.
Able to work clinic shifts.
