Qatar Airways is looking for an experienced Turnaround Coordinator in Doha, Qatar.
This role supervises and coordinates a safe, on-time aircraft turnaround for customer airlines in line with IATA IGOM Chapter 6 and each airline’s procedures. The coordinator is the main point of contact for ground activity and must make sure loading and offloading follow airline, QAS and regulatory rules.
Key Responsibilities:
Bring together all teams involved in the turnaround so the aircraft departs safely and on time.
Ensure aircraft ground-movement communication (headset operations) follows the customer airline’s procedure and safety rules for arrival and departure.
Supervise safe and timely offloading in the correct sequence so ground stability is maintained.
Make sure special loads are secured with tie-down, lashing and spreaders, and that nets and locks are in place before cargo holds are closed.
Check incoming units for damage, leakage or spillage before and after offloading and report any irregularities.
Confirm that only planned dead load is placed on the aircraft and that it is serviceable before loading.
Inspect aircraft holds for damage, missing locks, nets, stanchions or residual liquids.
Ensure baggage and cargo are delivered to the right areas within the set times.
Cross-check ULD movement slips and cargo handover forms before loading starts.
Report any ground damage or incident according to IATA, airline and local regulatory requirements.
Communicate any change from the load plan to the Load Controller for confirmation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience in airport ground handling or aircraft turnaround coordination.
Knowledge of IATA IGOM, load plans, ULDs and ramp safety procedures.
Ability to work under time pressure and coordinate multiple ground teams.
Flexibility for operational shift work.
