Technical Officer – Mechanical

Qatar Airways is looking for an experienced Technical Officer – Mechanical in Doha, Qatar.

This role supports mechanical engineering work on projects, including drawings, site inspections, contractor coordination and compliance with building codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Help prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.

Carry out site inspections and write clear reports on construction progress and quality.

Liaise with contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders so project objectives are met.

Give technical guidance and support to the engineering team, including troubleshooting.

Take part in project schedules, budgets and risk management plans.

Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards.

Help improve engineering processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technical Officer or in a similar technical role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and HVAC engineering principles, construction methods and project management.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM software and other engineering design tools.
Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
Good communication and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards.
Airport experience is an advantage.
