The Registered Nurse – OPD works within their scope of practice to prioritize patient health, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities include systematic assessment, care planning, administering treatments and medications, and offering support to patients and families within an outpatient department setting.
​Key Responsibilities:
​Conduct systematic patient assessments, analyze clinical data, and identify actual or potential nursing diagnoses.
​Develop, monitor, and evaluate multidisciplinary patient care plans.
​Record vital signs, identify/escalate abnormalities, and perform life support procedures (BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP) as required.
​Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products while monitoring for adverse reactions.
​Provide wound care, assist in invasive/non-invasive medical procedures, and facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
​Provide patient education, emotional support, and maintain health/safety standards.
​Qualifications & Requirements:
​Licensure & Certifications: Registered Nurse license from the relevant regulatory health authority (e.g., MOH/DHA/HAAD) and a valid American Heart Association BLS Provider card. Must manage self-re-licensure.
​Skills: Strong spoken and written English communication skills; flexibility to work across departments.
​Desirable: Arabic language proficiency, inter-professional teamwork experience, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
