Qatar Fabrication Company is looking for an experienced Structural Welding Supervisor in Qatar.
This shipyard operations role (Ref. 22970) coordinates foremen and crews on structural welding work. Preference will be given to Qatari candidates. The post reports functionally to the Construction Superintendent.
About the role
The supervisor plans work weeks ahead, issues drawings and WPS, keeps tools and consumables correct, drives safety and quality, and reports progress against estimated man-hours.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise foremen and crews on the assigned project.
Apply safety, ethics and quality standards and correct gaps immediately.
Read drawings, project specifications and procedures.
Plan work about four weeks ahead.
Give foremen drawings, WPS and the information they need.
Check material availability with the production engineer.
Keep tools available and used safely.
Forecast manpower and equipment.
Set production targets and run organised crew meetings.
Work with QC, NDT and yard support services.
Keep man-hour booking inside the estimate and report weekly progress.
Raise CIR and RFI on time.
Run toolbox talks, safety walkthroughs and TRA reviews.
Control welding-consumable storage so the wrong wire or electrode is not used.
Arrange welding-machine calibration with F&M.
Work with welding engineers on WPS and welder qualification.

Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma level.
10+ years in offshore construction.
Multidiscipline yard exposure.
Ability to interpret governing codes and project specifications.
