This Audit & Assurance manager role leads external audits for a mixed client portfolio, from SMEs to international groups and listed companies. Grant Thornton UAE is active in financial services and PCAOB work and has supported major listing activity in the region.
About the role
The manager plans the audit, runs the team, watches budgets and files, and drafts management reports. The work includes coaching staff and supporting the audit partner on scope and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead audit reviews, agree timetables, brief the team and monitor budgets.
Make sure allocated work is delivered profitably, on time and to professional and client standards.
Manage, motivate and coach team members and give regular feedback.
Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across industries and markets.
Help the Audit Partner set audit objectives and overall scope.
Plan and coordinate audit planning, including resourcing.
Check that workpapers are reviewed and files are completed on time.
Finalise draft reports for management.

Qualifications & Requirements
6+ years of external-audit experience in a top international firm.
Professionally qualified (ACA, CPA or ACCA).
Extensive post-qualification audit experience.
Confident in IFRS, internal controls and consolidation.
Experience on complex group audits and workload delegation.
